  1. Kia ora TC Services Academy! You guys won't know who I am, but I was lucky enough to teach at another high school with a services academy a few years ago. It is such an awesome program and it will offer you a lot.
These experiences and lessons are going to be ones you keep with you for life, so enjoy them, and cherish the brothers and sisters who are in there with you. It's hard work, but you guys know it'll be worth it. Kia kaha!

  9. Kia Ora Tamaki College students,
What an amazing opportunity you have had with this experience of taking part in camp life together. It looks like you had some challenging physical fitness tasks to endure and also learnt so many new skills. You obviously had to work together to achieve some of the goals. Teamwork makes the dreamwork! Awesome effort to everyone involved.

    1. Hi Anne, yes collaboration is a big part of our academy. Like you said, working together is a very important part of our service academy programme. The skills we learn help us in everyday life. So once the students come home from camp. They make their beds, clean their rooms and help out around the home a lot more than before.

  23. Hello Tamaki College, AJ here from Glenbrae School. Damn That looks very hard and tireing. Looks like you guys did a great job and pushed trough the pain and tried your best. Keep up the great Strength. BYE

    AJ

    Replies
    1. Kia Ora AJ, yes the Army says pain is weakness leaving the body. So the students do have to push through the pain barrier while on camp. This makes the students stronger mentally and physically. As many people would just give up or wouldn't even try doing this type of training. Hope to see you at Tamaki College one day
