1st 15 V Papatoetoe

Another team effort by Tamaki College to secure a win in wet and windy conditions. Boys were up for today's game after memories of the play off loss to Papatoetoe in 2013. Papatoetoe scored first before the game turned in Tamaki Colleges favour through scrum and lineout dominance. Final score Tamaki 32 - Papatoetoe 19. 2013 loss now truly forgotten.

Here is the link to lots of photos taken by Ms George....
Thanks for capturing all the action Miss!!

It was Science Roadshow time again here at Tamaki College.
To kick the event off, we were visited by Mr Simon O'Connor, MP for Tamaki.

Our Year 9 students had a great time listening to a range of science issues facing our world today, like global warming, and power generation. Then they got to play with, learn with all the activities that had been set up.

Matariki 2015 - Dawn Service

It was a beautiful morning here at Tamaki College, where we had a dawn service to welcome the stars of Matariki over the Marae.
The new flag was raised in the front of the school and everyone sang the school waiata. Then a lovely breakfast was had in the Whare Kai.

Careers Expo

The Careers Expo provides an opportunity
for our students and teachers alike creating a  stimulus for discussion and , increased knowledge all in one place’.

Recently all Year 13 and 12 students were herded onto Double Decker passes with thier Tutor Teachers in support to attend the Careers Expo Auckland held at the ASB showgrounds in Auckland. They were taking full advantage of an opportunity for students to talk face to face with the widest range of employers industry government departments and training providers.

The students were exemplary in their attitude and behaviour and received many compliments on the day about how engaged and on task they were as they completed Careers related tasks on the day.

Cheers to all involved and definitely a regular event on our Careers Calendar in the future.
