Talofa Lava Tamaki College,my name is Lily from Panmure Bridge School.Your Samoan Language Week Film has inspired me because the words you's added("I may not know my language but my language knows me').Its honouring that yous celebrated with many activites.Every film yous chose to present the value of your participation in Manaiakalani Film Festival always leave a smile on someone face and gives more creativity challenges,Thank you!!.My favourite part of your Samoan Language Week film is that you's always show the effect of your participation and your respect and honouring in everything you's do.
Talofa lava Lily, Thank you for your lovely comment:). I am so glad that you were inspired by the words "I may not know my language, but my language knows me". What do you think these words may mean? You have talked about honouring and yes you are right, the participation by students and staff in the language week shows how they honour the week. Well done on your wonderful response to our film, Malo, Ms Apelu

Talofa Lava Tamaki College, my name is Ali-Jon and I am a year 8 student at Glenbrae School. What I really loved about your guys movie was how you guys celebrated Samoan Language week and it looked like every single one of yous were having a great time, I really loved the dances that you guys performed and also the clothes you guys were wearing, Just want to ask, were all of the people that performed are Samoans? Anyways, you guys should be so proud of yourself for making this movie and I hope you guys have a great day.
Talofa Ali-Jon, Thanks for your great comment. I'm glad you enjoyed our movie. To answer your question, many of our students in the performances were Samoan but the majority were not. We invited as many students as we could to give everything ago and what we found is that dancing was one way to teach each other the skills needed to perform such as practising, listening, co-ordination etc. The week was a great success because students learnt to understand and respect not just Samoan values but our school values. Thanks again for your great comment, Malo, Ms Apelu
Talofa Lava Tamaki College, Marshall here from Glenbrae School. This Presentation was amazing. The boys playing I think Dodgeball looked rough but fun.

Talofa Lava Tamaki College, AJ here from Glenbrae School. I am so amazed and blown away from all of your guys performances. I also really like how your movie was put together. Keep up all your wonderful Dance Performances. Bye
Talofa AJ, Thank you for lovely comment. As a teacher, I was also blown away by the students performances. They got themselves together and taught the dances, then practised and performed them which was awesome. As for how I put the movie together, I try to tell the story as it happens and the key song for the movie is the secret. I try to match the song carefully to movement and actions in the film. Malo, Ms Apelu
