Internet Safety

Tamaki College students are really lucky having the opportunity to work with their new netbooks this year. What they need to realize is the importance of being safe online while they are working. TCTV have been out and about asking people what they think is important about being safe on the internet. The video is presented by Dose.

The Web Ellis Cup comes to Tamaki College...

We had such an exciting time here at Tamaki College when the Rugby World Cup roadshow came to see us. The whole school was in the auditorium for the main presentation, where they saw ex Tamaki students talk about how well they were doing with rugby. A video was played of Sonny Bill Williams talking about commitment to the game and quizzes were done, where 2 lucky winners got to come on stage to hold the cup. After that, the school went into whanau groups to practice their athletics chants. While that was happening, the cup was brought round to each group for photographs and a closer look. We laso had visitors from our local primary and intermediate schools to come and see the cup. you can see them in the photographs too.

Powhiri 2012

We had a great Powhiri this week here at Tamaki College. It was a beautiful day when the school welcomed the new Year 9 students and new staff members onto the marae. Here is a short video of the haka that the senior boys performed as everyone came in.

Film Festival on What Now....

Year 9 Rainbows End Trip

TCTV had an awesome time with the Year 9 students at Rainbows End today.

Master Chef TC Style...

TCTV had a yummy time during electives today. There was cookie making going on in the food room. Well we just had to go and check it out.....didn't we?

It was another beautiful day today and TCTV were there to catch all the action of the inter whanau competition continuing at lunch time.

Our junior students at Tamaki College are being well looked after at lunch time now that the seniors have left. They have a full programme of activities with inter whanau competitions. Here is a short video of the first day.

Namibian World Cup Support...TC Style!!

There have been flags, and food and match talk and all sorts of things going on at Tamaki College to celebrate the Rugby World Cup. Today's assembly was no different, with the focus being on Namibia. It started with a prayer in Afrikaans. Then there was a video collage. Then the senior boys did a "special" dance....
