The Amazing Race hit Tamaki College at lunchtime today. The teams were ready, the clues were ready and there was lots of running round the school.

Matariki Celebrations - Day 2

It was another fun lunchtime here at Tamaki College. The Matariki Celebrations continue with more whanau group competitions.
Today it was food eating and races.

Matariki Celebrations - Day 1

Matariki celebrations started in style this week at Tamaki College.

First of all, the whole school gathered around the flag poles and we went live on the Tamaki College Facebook Page for the Matariki flag raising ceremony.


At lunch time the activities for the week started. We had a "what's on the plate?' competition and a kite decorating competition.

Tamaki College U14 Rugby Team meet the All Blacks

Our lucky under 14 rugby team won a coaching session with the All Blacks this week.

Tamaki College hosted the Science Road Show again this year.
Our lucky Year 9 students and students from neighbouring schools were able to visit and learn loads of really cool stuff about science!!

It was a fabulous evening in the Tamaki College Library last night. The Trades Academy students were all gathered with their families for this year's opening.
John Cole from BCITO was there as a special guest for the occasion.

Year 9 Scholarship Presentations.....

Thanks to Samsung for our Manaiakalani scholarship devices. Our Year 9 scholarship students are very lucky and had a great night last night at the presentation with their parents.

Athletics 2016

It was a hot day on Friday and the whole school was out on the field for the 2016 Athletics day.
Lots of practice showed in the chants and all the athletes put in loads of effort in their competitions.
