TCTV : Tamaki College : Pre Season 1st 15 match v MAGS

TCTV went out to Mount Albert Grammar to watch the preseason match...

The report is written by 1st 15 assistant coach, Mr. Tindling.

The Tamaki College 1^st XV travelled out to MAGS on the first Wednesday of the holidays for a preseason fixture. The day was windy and Tamaki started with the advantage. MAGS started the better of the two teams and scored three early tries out wide. At 17-0 Tamaki entered the MAGS 22 for the first time and scored a well taken try through James Mata. At 17-5 Tamaki were right back in the game but a late try right in the final minute of the first half put the score out to 22-5.

Tamaki started the second half much better than the first and dominated possession and territory and were rewarded with a well taken try to Grady Hunt of a flick pass from his brother Jack. Tamaki continued to dominate possession but wayward passes lead to MAGS scoring two more tries on counterattack. The final score MAGS 32-12. A good hit out for the Tamaki boys against last years 1A champions and with a number of senior Tamaki boys being rested it showed we are not to far off it.

TCTV : Tamaki College : High Ropes Course

This is TCTV reporting on the exciting news from the P.E. Department...
During April of 2008 students from the Level 2 NCEA Physical Education class had the opportunity to take part in the High Ropes Course based at UNITEC.
Students undertook a variety of challenges, including the Leap of Faith. The 3 day course allowed students to gain credits towards level 2 NCEA.

TCTV : Tamaki College : Fijian Farewell

It's the end of term 1 for TCTV and we are reporting from the final assembly of the term at Tamaki College.
This video is of Eric, Junior and Mavis performing for the whole school. They are singing a Fijian farewell song. They sound really good without instruments !!!

This is TCTV reporting from the final assembly of Term 1 at Tamaki College.
It was a busy assembly, packed with items celebrating the success of the students over the term.
This video is of Pare, Junior, Mavis and the band ( Pene, Pene and Raymond) singing Sweet Sensation for the rest of the school.

TCTV : Tamaki College : Kapa Haka Powhiri Dance

This is T.C.T.V. reporting on the Tamaki College Kapa Haka group.
They have been working really hard and practicing holding a Powhiri. The whole event went really well, with lots of visitors coming onto the Marae to be welcomed by the group. This video is of the group performing a song to welcome their guests into the Wharekai.
